Dean – School of Engineering is the principal academic leader and administrative head of the School of Engineering. As per statutory mandates, the University seeks a person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment. The Dean acts as the critical bridge between Departmental Heads and the University’s central administration, ensuring that the Faculty’s academic roadmap aligns with global standards and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The Dean of the School of Engineering is the principal architect of the university’s technical education strategy. This role is responsible for driving Academic Excellence, Global Accreditations, and Industry 4.0 integration. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader capable of positioning the school as a global hub for research and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Effective academic delivery, faculty coordination, and programme quality management
Global Accreditations
Lead the school through NBA (Tier-1), NAAC (A++), and international ABET accreditation processes.
Research Ecosystem
Increase the school's h-index by securing high-value research grants from DST, DBT, and International funding agencies.
Industry 4.0 Integrationt
Establish Centers of Excellence (CoE) in collaboration with Pune’s automotive and IT hubs (e.g., Tata Motors, Infosys, Cummins).
NEP 2020 Implementation
Design a multidisciplinary, credit-based curriculum featuring Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) and project-based learning.
Internationalization
Develop "3+1" or "2+2" twinning programs and joint research initiatives with top-tier global universities.
Eligibility & Experience
Educational Qualification
* Ph.D. degree in a relevant branch of Engineering.First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
Experience
* Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching, research, or industry. Mandatory requirement: At least 3 years must be at the post of Professor.
Research Output
* At least 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-care/SCI listed journals. Evidence of having successfully guided at least 2 Ph.D. scholars as Supervisor / Co-supervisor.
