The Vice Chancellor (VC) is the resident head of the University. As per statutory mandates, the University seeks a person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment. The VC will provide the strategic roadmap for the University, ensuring academic excellence, administrative transparency, and global competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop a 5-year Institutional Development Plan (IDP) to elevate the University’s national (NIRF) and international (QS/THE) standings.
Faculty & Research
Lead the recruitment of high-quality faculty and foster a culture of innovation, patents, and high-impact publications.
Academic Innovation
Oversee the implementation of multidisciplinary education, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), and Research & Development Cells (RDC).
Financial Stewardship
Manage the University’s fiscal health, ensuring adherence to the General Financial Rules (GFR) and successful mobilization of resources/grants.
Campus Governance
Maintain a student-centric environment, ensuring strict compliance with anti-ragging and grievance redressal norms.
Eligibility & Experience
Academic Standing
A Ph.D. degree from a recognized University/Institution with a superlative academic record.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Professor in a University system; OR Minimum of 10 years of experience in a reputed research and/or academic administrative organization.
Leadership Proof
Must provide documented evidence of having demonstrated academic leadership (e.g., as a Dean, Director, or Head of a National Laboratory).
