The Pro-Vice Chancellor is a whole-time salaried officer appointed to assist the Vice Chancellor in the performance of their duties. The University seeks a distinguished academician possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment. The Pro-VC provides high-level strategic support, often overseeing specific administrative divisions, academic affairs, or satellite campuses to ensure institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive leadership support across strategic planning, academic administration, and institutional operations
Academic Leadership
Oversee the implementation of NEP 2020 frameworks, including multidisciplinary curricula and research excellence initiatives.
Administrative Coordination
Streamline communication between various Deans, Directors, and the Registrar's office
Institutional Development
Lead specific projects such as international collaborations, NAAC/NIRF accreditation cycles, or campus expansion.
Grievance Redressal
Often serves as the appellate authority for student or faculty grievances as designated by the Vice Chancellor.
Eligibility & Experience
Academic Standing
A Ph.D. degree from a recognized University/Institution with a superlative academic record.
Experience (The 10-Year Rule)
Must be a Professor with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a University system.
Leadership Proof
Documented evidence of having demonstrated academic leadership (e.g., as a Dean, Director, or Head of Department).
