The Dean of Academics is the primary architect of the University's educational landscape. The University seeks a person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment. The Dean is responsible for ensuring that all academic programs meet statutory requirements, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, and spearheading the integration of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive academic leadership across curriculum, faculty, and research
Faculty Oversight
Coordinate with Faculty Deans to ensure optimal faculty-student ratios and oversee academic performance appraisals.
Curriculum Design
Coordinate with various Boards of Studies to ensure curricula remain industry-relevant and globally competitive.
Academic Calendar
Prepare and monitor the University’s master academic calendar, ensuring timely instruction, evaluation, and result declaration.
Innovation in Pedagogy
Promote blended learning, MOOCs (SWAYAM), and digital initiatives in teaching-learning processes.
NEP 2020 Implementation
Lead the shift toward multidisciplinary education, the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), and multiple entry/exit pathways.
Eligibility & Experience
Academic Rank
Must hold the rank of Professor in a University system.
Academic Standing
A Ph.D. degree from a recognized University/Institution with a superlative academic record.
Experience
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in postgraduate teaching or research, with a significant portion as a Professor.
Leadership Proof
Documented evidence of having demonstrated academic leadership at an institutional level (e.g., as a Dean of a Faculty, Director, or Head of a major academic department).
