The Director serves as the Principal Executive and Academic Head of the Management Institute. As per statutory mandates, the University seeks a person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment. The Director is responsible for providing a strategic roadmap that ensures academic excellence, administrative transparency, and global competitiveness in management education.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive leadership across core institutional priorities
Strategic Leadership
Develop a long-term Institutional Development Plan (IDP) to elevate the school’s national (NIRF) and international (QS/THE) standings.
Academic Innovation
Oversee the implementation of multidisciplinary management education, innovative pedagogy, and the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC).
Faculty & Research
Lead the recruitment of high-quality faculty and foster a culture of innovation, case-study development, and high-impact publications.
Financial Stewardship
Manage the institute’s fiscal health, ensuring adherence to the General Financial Rules (GFR) and successful mobilization of resources through grants and consultancy.
Campus Governance
Maintain a student-centric environment, ensuring strict compliance with anti-ragging and grievance redressal norms.
Eligibility & Experience
Academic Record
Consistently good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in a Master’s Degree in Business Management, Administration, or a relevant discipline.
PGDM Equivalency
A two-year full-time PGDM is acceptable if declared equivalent by the AIU or recognized by AICTE/UGC, provided the 55% mark threshold is met.
Total Experience
A minimum of fifteen years of experience in postgraduate teaching, research, or industry.
Professor Status
Must be a Professor from the industry/profession stream with at least five years of experience at the level of Professor in the relevant discipline.
