The Vision & Role Purpose

The Head of HR is responsible for architecting the university’s human capital strategy. This role ensures the institution attracts world-class academic and non-academic talent, fosters a culture of research excellence, and maintains 100% compliance with Indian labour laws and UGC/AICTE faculty norms.

Key Responsibilities

Comprehensive leadership across core institutional priorities

Strategic Talent Acquisition

Design recruitment funnels for "high-stakes" roles. Implement global sourcing strategies to attract international faculty.

Faculty Performance Management

Oversee the 360-degree feedback system as mandated by the UGC. Manage the Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) and promotion cycles.

Compliance & Policy:

Ensure strict adherence to POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), Employee Provident Fund (EPF), ESI, and Gratuity acts. Draft and update the University HR Manual.

Organizational Culture

Champion an inclusive, multidisciplinary work culture. Drive employee engagement initiatives to reduce attrition among top-performing researchers.

Learning & Development

Curate faculty development programs (FDPs) and administrative training to keep staff updated on NEP 2020 and digital pedagogy.

Eligibility & Experience

Educational Qualification

Primary: MBA in HR or a Master’s degree in Personnel Management/Social Work (MPSW) from a premier institute. Desirable(Not Mandatory at all): A Ph.D. in Management or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 15–20 years of progressive HR experience. At least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a large university system or a high-growth corporate sector.

Technical Skills

Deep knowledge of Indian Labor Laws, UGC faculty recruitment regulations, and proficiency in HR analytics.
