The Head of Technology is the primary architect of the university’s digital ecosystem. This role is responsible for implementing scalable technology solutions that enhance the student learning experience (LMS), streamline administrative operations (ERP), and safeguard institutional data against global cybersecurity threats.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive leadership across core institutional priorities
Digital Transformation
Lead the transition to a "Smart Campus," integrating AI, IoT, and Cloud computing into everyday university operations.
Infrastructure Management
Oversee the university’s network, high-performance computing (HPC) labs for research, and data centres.
Information Security
Develop and enforce a robust Cybersecurity Framework to protect sensitive student records, research IP, and financial data.
ERP & Systems Oversight
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of University ERPs (Admissions, Finance, Examination, HR) to ensure data integrity and seamless cross-departmental flow.
Educational Technology (EdTech)
Partner with the Dean of Academics to deploy advanced Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual classroom technologies for hybrid learning.
IT Governance & Budgeting
Manage the IT budget, vendor negotiations, and ensure technology investments align with institutional ROI.
Eligibility & Experience
Educational Qualification
Primary: B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field from a premier institution (IIT/NIT/BITs). Desirable: An MBA (IT/Operations) or a Ph.D. in a technology domain is highly valued for strategic alignment.
Experience
Minimum 15–20 years of progressive IT experience.At least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role (CTO, VP-IT, or IT Director).
Certifications
Preference for candidates with global certifications like CISSP (Security), PMP (Project Management), or AWS/Azure Solutions Architect.
